Day Before the First Day of School - A Day in the Life of the Beyelers

The day started with Elise boucing into my room requesting to make "Light as a Feather Pancakes".  Which then resulted in this:
*chuckle*  She was pretty excited to make those pancakes and lost control of the egg.

 While this young man took it upone himself to shower (I'm so glad I don't have to constantly remind him that higeine is important.

Yum!

 We discovered that this pup doesn't like balls very much, but she sure likes balls of string (and kept taking it away from the cats).

 Then we took down the Christmas Tree.

 Commenced with the daily jobs: vacuum the living room.

 Sweep the bathroom and mud room.

 Vacuum the kitchen.

 Sinks and mirrors.

 My day for dishwasher and laundry.

 Awh, then the fun!  Cousins over for a game of Old Maid.

 Baking Oreo Cupcakes (for the letter "O")

 And more baking.

 Team playing the game "Curses".  It was quite comical!

 Then we undressed the Christmas Tree at the Jesse James Park.

 Mandy took the boys home and I took the girls home for a bit.  They wanted to see the frozen fountain.

 Then Family Home Evening of budget checking to see how we did for December and make a new one for January.

End of August Projects

Since the kids started school, I started on some projects: some of my own, and some of some friends's.

 Painted this piano.

 

Painted Max's wall dark teal blue

Even though it looks black in this picture.

Painted the clock above our mantle to match the other metal in our interior (it was mustard yellow).

Painted chalkboard walls in both of the kids's rooms. 

 

 

The kids are priming them before writing on them. 

Helped another friend paint her interior doors and garage doors.

(Apparently, I mostly took pictures.)

Stripped the wood stain off of this chair.

While doing all these projects, I got behind on laundry...so Nate and I got to use this fun bedding for our bed (the bottom of the barrel bedding).  But it was so fun, now we might use it more often!  LOL!
