New Time

The Church of Jesus Christ of Latter-day Saints often has too many people in one geographical area meeting in the same church building, so they are grouped into congregations called wards and each of those wards meet at separate times.  When we lived in Pittsburg, there was only one ward and for a while we met at 10, but then that time was moved to 9:00.  Then we moved to KCK and that building had the need to hold two separate congregations because there were enough people to constitute doing so.  In that building we were always able to hold our meeting at 9:00am because the majority of the other congregation was Hispanic and they preferred to not have to be at church so early. 


So for around 12 years, we have always gone to church at 9:00am. 

Our ward here, however shares the building with two other congregations!  We rotate with one other of those two (while the third meets in the afternoon).  So, today, was the first time Max and Elise have ever been to church at a time other than 9:00.  I don't know how it would be with really young kids, but it was pretty nice with a 10 and 13 year old!  We had plenty of time in the morning to get ready and get other things done, and still get home in time to do other things, and have family dinner, etc.
