Where they were...

As I mentioned, Nate and Elise couldn't make it for the black eye peas, collard greens, and corn bread.  Nate had a meeting, and Elise, well, she was sitting with a shower cap encasing her olive oiled hair.
This girl of mine has such curly, but fine hair!  It is beautiful!  She has grown it very long - all the way to just above her waist!  Unfortunately, she was sick for four days and we didn't take the care with her hair that we normally do.  The result was a mass of snarls that proved impossible to navigate through.  And we did try!  Nate, Elise and I combed and conditioned and oiled her wet hair for hours.  Finally, on the first, we decided to leave olive oil on her hair for a few hours and then try to comb that through her hair.  Sadly, those nests of matted snarls just would not come out!

So, now, thanks to her Aunt Mandy, who made a sad situation for her, something new and exciting, she has cute shoulder length hair and is excited about it.
