Row, Row, Row

One of the first days we were in Salmon, we got to go white water rafting on the Salmon River!  It was so much fun!

Driving to the white-water rafting drop-off, I got to ride with my kids and these cousins of theirs, Jake and Emily.  Our driver had been doing white water rafting tours for over 30 years - he was very good and took those who wanted a little more easy experience on his raft with him.

Our little family, ready to go!
Along the river, we stopped in a gold mine.
And had some delicious lunch.

Because after rafting for miles, one Shasta isn't enough!

Playing baseball with rocks and sticks.  Not the safest I suppose, but it was ingenuitive.
Our family was separated into different boats.  So Elise went with her cousins Mandy and Emily and her Uncle Jason and Aunt Amy.  At the end Amy told me that because she was the smallest in the raft every time they started to go into some heavy rapids, Elise would launch herself into the center of the raft, where Amy would hang on to her.  It left me with a pretty comical picture of how their rafting venture went!
Max was in a raft with cousin Jake and the Trevor Beyeler family. Looks like they're having fun, eh?
Nate and I were able to raft with his cousin, Paul.
