Max's school
We had a pretty difficult decision to make this week concerning Max. His principle called me, and after telling me that she thought things over and had talked to other collegues, she asked us to think about moving Max to 2nd grade. It was a difficult decision to make. We went back and forth listing the pros and cons of staying in 1st grade or moving to 2nd. We asked our doctor and a few friends who had had experience with either of the senarios. Also, with the beauty of info at our fingertips, searched the internet and read stories from people who had skipped grades or stayed in their grade when pressured to move up. Finally, after a week of deliberation, we decided to keep him in 1st grade. We feel very good about the decision. The school is very good at still helping Max to keep his mind stimulated, so we think he will not get bored. He can be a kid a little longer. ;-)

Wow, that would be a tough decision. I think I'd feel the same way if it were Ira. Give Max a big hug from us. Love you all!
Did you know Jesica skipped a grade? You should ask her about it!
