Easter and Birthday

Easter is my favorite holiday; it is so wonderful to celebrate the resurrection of the Savior and be reminded all that He did for us. I have had a few times when my birthday was on Easter and that may be part of why it is my favorite, but this year my birthday was yesterday (the day before) and it was really, really fun to do all the Easter celebrations with the kids. My neighbor, Teresa and her husband were so very kind as to volunteer to watch Max and Elise last night so Nate and I could go on a date. We were able to walk around and talk with each other and went to see a movie. It was a very fun day! Today, we had a great church meeting (I am the music director at church); we did not have a special music program, but had a very wonderful meeting via satellite with all the other stakes in the mid-west. We are getting ready to have a sweet smelling ham and have our traditional Easter Sunday egg hunt, where the eggs have scriptures of the resurrection of Jesus Christ. And later we will go to a friend's house to meet with more friends and have dessert! It is a good day! So, here are some pictures from yesterday:
