Painting doors

When we moved into this house, we found that some of the doors had holes in them. Because we were saving up to fix our van, but ("wonder of wonders") it turned out that it didn't need to be fixed, we were able to buy new doors! I even found new hinges and a bathroom door for only $13.00! Woot! The doors are not up yet, but we painted them today. Max and Elise did a really good job painting and with their help, it went went much faster. So, after five years, we will have newer doors that will look sooo much better. The kids may be sad though, because they can no longer write on the doors: "Do not enter, Star Wars Community" or lovely pictures of Pokemon characters or "Elise" many times or "no babies or girls under 7 allowed". They won't be able to hide treasures in the holes either...you'll see in the picture what we found in Max's door, Elise's had a lot less stuff (the hole in her door was much smaller), but it was almost like Christmas today - they even each found money!

Way to be on the job, Krista. And it is always fun to find unexpected treasures when your kids, I bet they especially were tickled to find the money and marbles.

I'm sure it is looking pretty nice. And to find treasures must have been fun too. Love you
