Six year Old

Elise had her birthday on Friday the 18th. We started the day out with swimming lessons (which is really like a party in and of itself. Then headed home to grab refridgerated stuff for her birthday party. Last year, we had her party with her friend Tori (whose birthday was Saturday, the 19th) and decided to do it again. Tori's mom, Kim, is great at finding easy but fantastic birthday locations or ideas, so this year we just met at the splash park and let the kids play and play and play. The party was to be at 10:30 and we all had so much fun, we stayed until almost 2:00! It was the easiest party I've ever done, even counting making sandwiches and cupcakes. And all the kids had a blast! Here are some pictures: The cupcakes are suppose to be a chair or towel on the beach with a beach ball and umbrella (some of the kids helped to place them on (they moved around in travel and the frosting was melting in the heat, so some of the towels and umbrellas ended up in the water). They tasted yummy and had a fish (Swedish fish) swimming in the middle of each one. After the party, we got a small pool for the dogs but they will, so far, only go in it when the kids are there. Elise and Max played with the dogs outside for an hour and a half outside - it was great!
