The Saturday before Labor Day we were finally able to use the tickets, the kids got because they read so much during the school year, to Schlitterbahn (a water park/resort that was built 8 blocks from our house).
We kind of felt like we were on vacation far away form home. And even though we didn't get to do everything (like the wave pool and the enormous slide) it was relaxing and a lot of fun! Here are some of the things we did - I didn't feel brave enough to pull out the camera for the raging river thing, etc. - but these were some of the tamer rides or ones just the kids did.
