Family Advocacy Day (aka Parent Teacher conferences and kids out of school!)

The kids didn't have school today and since it was also beautiful outside, we decided to take our dogs on a hike at our nearby lake-park.  After trying to hold them both on the leash, which resulted in me being speedily pulled on my backside down the leafy hillside and one of the dogs getting free to run wild until she was stopped by the lake, we had a really nice time. (Yes, it would have been awesome if someone had a video camera to send that hilariousness to AFV; I'm sure it was quite funny to behold!)  But here are some pictures of the "nice time" part.
