I love Snow and time with family!

We have been loving the snow that has dumped in the Kansas City area!  Nate had already taken a vacation day for our 13th anniversary this past Friday and was able to work from home on Thursday when the kids were out of school.

After shoveling...a lot...we had a mini snowball fight.  Nate is very often not here for this kind of fun so it was especially special.  And for the first time as an entire family, we were able to go sledding - usually Nate is at work or busy elsewhere for our snow storms and I've always taken the kids.  Since snow ice cream with hot chocolate is a favorite around here, we made it for the third time this year. It was been a good four-day weekend!

And of course the kids are working on a fort and a snowman.  Luckily we are suppose to get more snow and hope to finish those later this week.

Pelted by Max right in the beard!

Lots of shoveling - it was pretty deep; at least 10 inches!

More delish snow ice cream.
