Moon Marble Company field trip

Another field trip we took recently with our virtual-home-schooling group was to the Moon Marble Factory in Bonner Springs, KS.  We have been here many, many times, but it's always fun and fascinating.

A man there makes a marble right in front of you (it's very much like glass blowing); and when you have a large group, another employee will demonstrate how to play a couple of types of marble games - which you get to play with the employee.

Besides that, the amount of vintage and handmade toys there, make the trip very exciting (if you're like me and games like Jacks are you favorite (-Jacks being my favorite was all because of a trip to Nauvoo one year; we were staying in the Nauvoo House; our family and the Allreds.  There was a lot of rain or something and lots of downtime, so we girls learned how to play jacks really, really well!).

They have a great website: www.moonmarble.com

$5.00 fee for whining.  lol

Max watching a peer shoot.

This is the employee getting ready to show us how to play some game that required a huge marble and a regular sized dice.  It was fun for the kids and is a fun way to play keepsies.
