Saturday, May 24th: This was, I think, our fourth year to help decorate gravestones out at the Leavenworth National Cemetery.
Though it was lightly raining, hundreds of scouts and some families gathered outside a pavilion to prepare to place one American flag on every single tombstone in the cemetery.
The day started with a man talking about specific men and women who had died in the service of our country. Then after Taps and a prayer, we were each handed a bundle of flags and instructed on how to place them before the grave markers.

| So many people were there to help that all of the nearly 36, 000 graves were decorated in just around 20 minutes! |
