Applesauce Part II

September 2, 2014

As mentioned before, my neighbors have about five trees completely weighed down with beautiful red and yellow apples.  So, a few weeks after our first canning bit, the kids had day off from school and we decided to utilize the extra bodies to help us make more applesauce (and some apple pie filling).

Our friend, Arian, came over to help pick with her three kiddos (two are pictured here).  Luckily these girls are fine babysitters.

The neighbors also have a horse and a donkey.  (They liked the apples too!)

Elise, and cousin, Abby, working to get the applesauce into the bowl.

Elise in a grove between two of the lumbering-under-the-weight-of-so-many-apples apple trees.

I can never seem to get a picture of Max.  He did help pick apples and did a good amount of work, but ... I just need to be better about capturing it.
