Peep Wars (on April Fool's Day - didn't actually intentially do that, but at least we did something fun)

We started Peep Wars last year or the year before when my friend, who is now in Japan, told us that was the only way she was ever talked into purchasing them.

This tradition that we picked up is So. Much. Fun!!

Basically the kids each choose their Peep, then deck it out with any type of armor they can make out of toothpicks.
Place them opposite of one another and put in the microwave for 30 seconds.  They start bloating substantially. If you actually stab the other Peep with a toothpick you win!  But most of the time, it's whichever Peep is still upright or has the most toothpicks still pointing in their original positions.
Mostly this just makes everyone laugh and giggle about how crazy the Peeps look, how their Peep is expanding, and how the toothpicks look funny drooping with the marshmallow melting off of them.
They wanted to compete against me.  So, my Peeps are all stuck together with one toothpick each.  Theirs are decorated as they wanted.  (Stuck together they can't tip over, eh?)  :-)

Sometime soon I'll post the video we made of them blowing up their Peeps, but "not today, Pockets, not today."
