Really though, this week we've been busy with moving preparations so I didn't really document things very well.
We've packed, sorted, and packed and sorted again. We have worked on furniture with the idea that we would have it finished and "perfect" for the new house. Ha! Well, at least we have start on it and are getting closer to having a lot of our furniture looking newer and ready to move in.
We've also been sick this week! Elise was suppose to go to a fun fifth grade field trip where she would have dressed up like a pioneer lil' girl and gone to school, a mercantile, a church, and other fun places as if in the 1860s. Sadly, she had a fever and had to miss it.
Max also missed part of a day due to sickness. Other than sleeping a lot, he was kind enough to shred all of our "important" papers.
Elise and I visited our friends the Websters for 15 minutes and every minute was wonderful to see them! And for about five minutes we saw our other friends, the Andersons. It was fun to see both dear friends, even for such a short amount of time!
Nate and Max had a campout (last Friday and Saturday) which was very, very rainy! (Which could account for his being sick for the first part of the week.)
And my dad and Vickie came to visit us!
We went to Eudora to plant some Azaleas at Giselle's grave. I have and Mom and I have planted stuff there before, but the ground keeper keeps mowing over them. Hopefully these are large enough that he'll let them grow.
Today, seeing new parts of our new house. We have railing on the back porch! And can therefore lean on it and look out on the beautiful lot.
Or sit in the fireplace nook...
Or pose on the fireplace itself.
